Hello out there everyone, welcome to the blog. Today I bring you Spirit Wolf Coffee Blonde brought to you by Sons of Kent Brewing Company in Chatham, Ontario. This is a golden beer, much like something you would get from Labatt, Molson, etc, but with less carbonation which should make it easier to drink.

At 5.1%, this beer weighs in about the average for regular strength Canadian beers, and my initial first impression is this is exactly what I'm looking at.

Now for the taste...

Hmmm...it's, um, different. First off, it stinks, so there's that. Thankfully, it doesn't taste like it smells. It starts off with an unusual but not unpleasant taste that's hard to place, Then it sort of vanishes. It does make a quick stop at the back of the throat which is where most of the taste actually comes from, which is a bit odd.

I don't taste coffee, I don't know if I'm tasting beer, and then I don't taste anything. It's confusing.

My rating: 5/10

It's not a bad tasting beer, despite the smell, but it's not a great tasting beer either.

My wife is my second sipper and she was less than impressed, especially as a coffee drinker.

My wife's rating: 5/10
