Today I'll be taking a look at Knucklebone IPA brewed in Oakville, Ontario
by the Skeleton Crew Brewing Company. This is a good looking brew, cloudy and lightly carbonated, it looks like the big brother of your standard big beer in colour, just deeper; like it has a philosophy degree and a chip on its shoulder. At 6.5%, this beer packs a punch, so take your time with this one.
Let's have a taste;
It starts out like the hops are going to kick your tastebuds in the face, but it's a bluff. The hoppiness fades almost immediately without ever really taking control and they are replaced by an easy sweetness, and finishing crisp with just a touch of fruit. It's light, it's tasty, and it's really easy to drink. This is a nice sipping beer while you're hanging out with your buddies around the kiddie pool in your backyard on a mid summer day.
My rating: 8/10
Great drinkability, no overpowering elements and a nice smooth finish. I suggest you check this baby out if you like delicious beers.
My wife is my second sipper, and though she's not typically a beer drinker, she likes this one.
My wife's rating: 6/10
