Fling Golden Ale by Innocente Brewing Company

It's with high expectations that I bring to you Fling Golden Ale by Innocente Brewing Company in beautiful Waterloo, Ontario. I have reviewed an amazing porter from this brewery in an earlier post, and it remains one of two 10/10 ratings so far.

This is a light, golden beer, lightly carbonated, and weighing in at an even 5%. It looks like a beer you might see during the halftime show of the superbowl, but less fizzy.

Now, let's have a drink. shall we?

It's good. If you're expecting a beer like the superbowl is advertising, you will be surprised. It's better than those beers, in my humble opinion. It starts out with a splash of hoppiness, but doesn't get to IPA levels by any means, then it fades nicely to a very slightly bitter finish. It's easy to drink and I'm going to get it again.

My rating: 7.5/10

This is an easy drinking beer that would fit in playing guitar around a campfire or watching the big game on a ridiculously large TV in your most sportsy buddy's basement. It's some good stuff if you like that kind of thing. The less that perfect rating is because of my preference for darker beers and should be weighed accordingly.

My wife is my faithful second sipper and non-beer drinking second opinion. She made a face.

My wife's rating: 4.5/10

I think this beer would be best served in a regular pint glass, or a pilsner glass as it is a light, easy going brew.

There you have it, friends. Fling Golden Ale by Innocente Brewing Company in Waterloo, Ontario is a crisp easy drinking beer that fits anywhere but a wine tasting. Check out their other offerings (especially the charcoal porter) at innocente.ca
